Steamplant Square, Spokane's most unique commercial building at 159 south Lincoln, is celebrating three new businesses: KellCraft Design Build, is owned by accomplished builder Geoff Kellogg and his wife Melissa. They’re also the owners of Splashdown. KellCraft’s new space will showcase their many products and services including cabinetry, lighting, countertops, fixtures and more. Buttercuppity features homemade fabrics and handbags, and Code 3 Media is a video production company.
Changes at KXLY AM 920 and KXLY TV4: Former KREM TV news anchor Nadine Woodward started this morning on both KXLY TV4 from 6-7 a.m. and KXLY 920 7-9a.m. with Bud Nameck. Also joining the team is former TV News Anchor, Kristi Gorenson Morris who will be a part time co-host with both Bud and Nadine. In addition, Dennis Patchin will now do all the Sports Reports live in the KXLY 920 Morning News, running 6-9am on the :15s and :45s.
Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Eldonna Shaw announces the grand opening of the Valley Chamber Business Center at Liberty Lake. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony and reception this Friday, March 19th at 10:00 a.m. The location is 1421 N. Meadowwood Lane in Liberty Lake.

One highlight will be a fully restored 1912 battery driven Baker Coupe sitting along side the revolutionary Tango, a high-performance battery operated commuter car. Author, Jane Fritz, will be available all day to discuss and sign her new book Legendary Lake Pend Oreille - Idaho’s Wilderness Water. At 3:00 pm, Fritz and Francis Cullooyah, Cultural Program Director, Kalispel Tribe, will host a program with book readings and discussions about the early history of the lake from the Kalispel’s perspective. (In the Eric A. Johnston Auditorium at the MAC). The Museum exhibits, café and store will be open for visitors. Special $15 family admission, free to MAC members. The Spokane Public Facilities District, which owns the Spokane Convention Center, has purchased C.I. Shenanigans restaurant and land in a $4.5 million transaction. The restaurant will continue to operate in the near term, but the deal was made as part of a long term plan by the PFD to develop more convention and meeting room space for the convention center.

Steve Dahlstrom, president and CEO of Spokane Teachers Credit Union, has been elected to a two year term as District 6 director for CUNA (Credit Union National Association) and will represent 45 large credit unions with more than 7 million member-owners in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, California, Alaska and Hawaii. With its network of affiliated state credit union leagues, CUNA is the largest credit union trade group, serving 90 percent of America's 8,000 credit unions, which are owned by more than 92 million members.
