How you can help "Java for Joes"

Schwan's Home Service is partnering with Operation Spokane Heroes to send 125,160 bags of Schwan's Gourmet Coffee to our deployed troops. "Java For Joes" is the brainchild of Cory Pape, Schwan's Location General Manager and former Marine. Cory didn't want the troops to be forgotten after the holidays, and when he was in the Marines he remembered how great it was to have a GOOD cup of coffee! Every bag of coffee purchased will be shipped and distributed to our deployed troops. A portion of the proceeds from these sales will go to help Operation Spokane Heroes meet their mission of supporting our military and their families. When their goal is met, Schwan's Home Service will donate $200,000 to Operation Spokane Heroes!

You can donate now through April 9, 2011 by going to www.javaforjoes.org or www.operationspokaneheroes.org. The purchase of coffee shipped abroad will come from individual donations and promotions with local businesses.

Cameron Glass joins Rainmaker Marketing

Since Rainmaker Marketing works exclusively with small businesses, it is inevitable that they're going to come across some remarkable entrepreneurs. What was not necessarily expected, though, was that the owner of one of these small businesses would actually be so impressed that he would decide to join the staff.

When Spokane photographer and business owner Cameron Glass heard that Rainmaker was looking for a new Relationship Manager, he was quick to throw his hat into the ring. He had teamed up with the marketing company on previous projects and seen first-hand how the operation worked.

In addition to his creative talents, Cameron's 11 years' experience as a small business owner in the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene area is a huge asset to Rainmaker and their clients. He understands the local scene and has a lifetime of valuable contacts. Cameron is a Mead High School graduate who went on to study Business and Marketing at EWU.
