Spokane Magazine company launches new group coupon site

A new group coupon site is launching in Spokane, with local owners, a promise to keep the funds in Spokane and a charity component that makes it different from national group coupon sites. Called "The Deal Planet" the site is owned by Bozzi Media and Se7en LLC, a local marketing firm owned by Ramsey Pruchnic and Rockwell Rutter.

The first week will include offers of at least fifty percent off from Sante Restaurant, Rockwood Aesthetics Center, and Shape Salon. Each business, which gets to be the "Shining Star" for the day, will be blasted to over 30,000 names on the Deal Planet's email list, and once the offers start coming, the numbers are expected to spread as friends share the deals with friends.

How does it all work? First The Deal Planet finds a restaurant or salon or service that would like to attract customers by offering a one-day-only deep discount, such as $20 for a $40 restaurant certificate. People who have registered with The Deal Planet at www.thedealplanet.com will receive an email early in the morning. They can purchase it that day only and are encouraged to share the offer with their friends. They pay the $20 and receive a numbered certificate by email to use at the restaurant. Half the earnings are sent to the restaurant within five business days so they have access to the funds that may be needed to carry out the offer. The customer receives a good deal, the restaurant may gain a new long-term customer, and instead of paying for advertising the message to over 30,000 local email users, the business, in effect, pays for their ad by virtue of having provided their product at discount. For more information go to www.thedealplanet.com.
