Doyle's is back in business!

Doyle's Ice Cream Parlor at 2229 W. Boone re-opened Saturday after a 3 year closure. Doyle's has been a landmark in Spokane's West Central neighborhood since 1939, when it was owned and operated by Art Doyle until 1972. Jerry Gill, who has owned the ice cream shop for the past 20 years has repaired and refreshed the place and it looks as good as ever. At Doyle's, you are instantly taken back in time, with classic ice cream flavors that are made on site, the original working soda fountain fixtures, (the last remaining one in Spokane), the oldies music, and the collection of ice cream memorabilia and vintage toys Jerry has been collecting for over 30 years. Doyle's offers all the old time favorites like huge Banana Splits, Sundae's, Black and Whites, old fashioned shakes, sodas and floats; and old time fountain drinks made from scratch like Pink Indians, Green Rivers, and my favorite, Graveyards, The Cokes are made from scratch with syrup and carbonated water. And they also have original chocolate and Cherry Cokes, Welcome back Doyle's!
