Fleet Feet Sports coming to Kendall Yards

Fleet Feet Sports, a sports retailer offering running footwear, apparel and more, is planning a store in Kendall Yards. The new store will be located in a portion of the currently under construction 'Bluff Building' next to Spa Paradiso on Kendall Yards' main street, Summit Parkway.

Green's Fresh Market to open this month in Hillyard

Green's Fresh Market, owned by Jack and Mary Green, is scheduled to open this month in a 3,500 square foot store at 4915 North Market in Hillyard. Green has had over 40 years experience in the produce business. He operated several produce markets in Spokane, including Champion Produce and Piccolo's, which he sold to Cassano's in 2009. He continued to work at Cassano's until last year. Future plans for Green's Fresh Market call for a deli and fresh meat selections.

NAC Architecture adds staff

Landon DeFelice has joined NAC as an Architectural Designer. His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from the University of Idaho. He is currently working on the Spokane Community College Main Building Renovation and George Elementary School Addition in Quincy, WA.

Andrew Parker joins NAC as an Architectural Designer and has a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from Montana State University and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Houston. He is currently working on the New Residence Hall for Montana State University in Bozeman and the Quincy Recreation Center in Quincy, WA.

Vitaliy Grechikhin is an Electrical Drafter who is currently working on the Spokane Community College Main Building Renovation and the Spokane Behavioral Hospital in Spokane. Vitaliy recently earned his AAS Degree in Architectural Technology from Spokane Community College.

Don Potts has joined NAC as an IT Support team member. In this role, he is assisting with help desk requests, IT purchase requests, and related administrative tasks. Previously, Don had worked at Microsoft for 15 years, in addition to other positions in the technology industry.

Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital receives award

For the third year in a row, Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital has earned the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Get with the Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. It also qualified for recognition on the Target: Stroke Elite Plus Honor Roll. This award recognizes Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital's commitment and success in implementing a high standard of stroke care by ensuring that its stroke patients receive treatment that meets nationally accepted, evidence-based standards and recommendations.

Hospitals must achieve 85 percent or higher adherence to all Get with the Guidelines - Stroke achievement indicators for two or more consecutive 12-month periods and achieve 75 percent or higher compliance with five of eight Get with the Guidelines-Stroke Quality measures to receive the Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award.


Winston & Cashatt attorneys named to Super Lawyers list

Windermere North Pet Food Drive June 24

Meals on Wheels works hard to feed thousands of members of our community and their pets every week. This Saturday, June 24 from 10am to 2pm, there will be a pet food drive at Windermere North, 9017 N Country Homes Blvd. Stop by and help them reach their goal of donating 500 bags of pet food to Meals on Wheels. Dry dog food, canned and dry cat food and liter will be collected. Monetary donations to Meals on Wheels are gladly accepted. Refreshments for you and your pet will be provided.

If you are unable to attend, but would still like to participate, donations can also be dropped off at the following locations:
