Figpickel's Toy Emporium moves to new location

Figpickel's, the region's most unique toy store, has been a magical experience in downtown Coeur d'Alene for seven years, has moved a block west to 210 Sherman Avenue in the Plaza Shops of the Coeur d'Alene Resort across from Hudson's Hamburgers. The new, larger space gives owners Brett and Susan Sommer, considerably more space than they had at their old location and they were able to expand their already sizable inventory. The new store has a book section called the Garden of Readin', a Laser-rarium where shoppers can try out laser toys and Hats in the Belfry where they can try on fun hats. The new store also launched a new Chump-o-lumps toy with interchangeable parts that results in 2,300 different combinations.

The move brings the Sommers' three downtown businesses to the same location. They also own Mrs. Honeypeeps Sweet Shop and Papillion Paper Emporium which were already at the Plaza Shops.

There's plenty of free downtown street parking in downtown Coeur d'Alene, and Figpickel's also gives 3 hours of parking at the Resort lot with a $5 purchase. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm and Sundays 10 to 6. The website which is being updated is figpickels.com. The phone number 208-667-2800.
