Clover opens this week

A new restaurant, Clover, at 913 East Sharp at Hamilton, will be opening this week (likely Wednesday) offering 'thoughtful food, fine cocktails and gracious hospitality.' And from the experience we had at their soft opening last Saturday night, that's more than a promise. It is a fact. This place is destined to become the 'Luna' of the northside. The owners, Scott McCandless and Paul and Marta Harrington have created a delightful place with an impressive menu for brunch, lunch and dinner. The bar offers traditional cocktails as well as a wide selection of inspiring, imaginative concoctions. The former home, which was previously the Dawg House restaurant, has been transformed into a fine neighborhood bistro. Clover's simple mission is to change the dining experience, one plate at a time. They want to provide their guests with enlightened service, through gracious hospitality and perfectly executed creations using attentively sourced, quality ingredients.

Clover's chef, Scott Schultz, began his career in the kitchen at the age of 15 when he worked as a dishwasher in a small restaurant in downtown Spokane. He worked his way up from dishwasher, to server, to prep cook, line cook and finally he worked as restaurant chef at the historic Davenport Hotel's Palm Court Grill for five years.

Clover will be open seven days a week from 11 am to 10 pm. The phone number is 509-487-2937 and the website is cloverspokane.com.

Valley Chamber Moves Forward to Consolidate Offices in Liberty Lake

The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the organization will consolidate its offices at their Liberty Lake location at 1421 N. Meadowwood Lane on June 1st. The Chamber has operated the Valley Chamber Business Center in Liberty Lake for the past two years as well as at the location at the Spokane Valley Business Center at 9507 E. Sprague.

When it was determined in 2011 that the Spokane Valley building would be for sale, the Chamber Board of Directors convened a task force to study the needs of the organization and to review all options, which included renewing a lease at the Spokane Valley location, consolidating operations at the Liberty Lake location or considering other locations in the greater Valley. Consolidating the offices at Liberty Lake was selected as the best alternative by the task force. The Board agreed, noting that this decision provides the Chamber the opportunity to move forward to maximize resources for the benefit of its members, to better utilize technology and to help members grow and thrive.

The community is invited to an open house at the Valley Chamber Business Center in Liberty Lake on June 1st from 3:00 to 5:00 pm to celebrate 'Founders Day' as the Chamber's 91st anniversary of service.

The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization with membership open to all businesses, nonprofit organizations, governmental entities, schools and churches. For more information, go to www.spokanevalleychamber.org or call 509-924-4994.
