Kathleen Cavender Creative Workshop

'Fuel your Creativity' is a four week workshop held Sundays in February at Kathleen Cavender's south hill studio. This workshop will give you insight into how to feed and maintain your creative spirit. The first session is February 5, 'Fire Inspiration'. The following Sunday topics are February 12, 'Creative Vision', February 19, 'Keeping it Real,' February 26, 'Solid Success.'

New skin care products at Zaki Organics

Zaki Organics is a skin care line that uses only certified organic or wild-crafted ingredients. It was created by Amber Doyle because she was having allergic reactions to many skin care products. She sells her organic products at her retail store 3309 N. Argonne Rd. next to the Rocket Bakery in Millwood, as well as on her website zakiorganics.com.

The retail store is a true family affair, also offering a wide variety of oil and watercolor paintings by Amber's mother Peggy Wilson and jewelry made by her daughter Madisyn. 20% of the jewelry sales go to the Spokane Humane Society. The store is open Tuesday through Saturday.


InCyte Pathologist, Dr. Robert Achterberg included in 2012 Top Dentists List

Robert Achterberg, D.D.S., M.S. was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in Top Dentists 2012 in the field of Oral Pathology. Dr. Achterberg joined InCyte Pathology in 2003 and is currently the Oral & Maxillofacial Pathologist at InCyte Pathology. He is board certified in both oral medicine and maxillofacial pathology and is a past member of the American Dental Association Council on Scientific Affairs and the Washington Dental Quality Assurance Commission. Dr. Achterberg has been listed in Top Dentists since 2009.

SHBA Installs New Leadership for 2012

The Spokane Home Builders Association Annual Installation and Awards Banquet was held on Thursday, January 19th at the Davenport Hotel. In spite of poor weather conditions, over 100 members and guests were in attendance to celebrate the SHBA and the local home building industry.

The following members were formally installed into their Board positions by National Association of Home Builders Second Vice President Rick Judson. At the close of the Installation Ceremony, Incoming President, Phil Folyer, CGP with Morse Western Homes laid out his agenda for the coming year and expressed his gratitude to all of these members for their willingness to step forward and lead the Association. He also encouraged all members to actively engage the Association and become involved on a committee or task force.
